A: Sea Beans (also known as samphire or salicornia in culinary circles) are a nutrient dense, crisp succulent with a delicious, salty flavor.
Q: Do they need to be refrigerated?
A: Yes, they need to be refrigerated to live up to the full shelf life.
Q: Are they a garnish or more of an ingredient?
A: They can be both! They make great garnishes for drinks and seafood, and we love when people use them more as the main ingredient.
Q: What is their shelf life?
A: They have a shelf life of 7-10 days.
Q: What is a serving size of Sea Beans?
A: For our 1-oz retail package, a serving size can be anywhere from 1 to 4 servings, depending on how they are consumed.
Q: What ordering sizes do you have available?
A: We offer a 1oz package, 8 oz bulk, 1lb bulk and stems upon request.
Q: How are they grown?
A: Our Sea Beans are grown with love by using Controlled Environment Agriculture and saltwater hydroponics by a team of talented plant scientists.
Q: Are Sea Beans your only product?
A: Right now, we are only growing Sea Beans, but as the world's first indoor saltwater farm, our plan is to grow other salt tolerant plants in the future.
